Ensuring a vegetarian/vegan diet is nutritionally adequate
Is your vegetarian or vegan diet providing you with all the nutrients you need? Would you like an expert to assess your current diet and help to optimise your short and long term health?

Why might you need some advice?
- A vegetarian or vegan diet may be low in certain nutrients such as iron, calcium and zinc.
- This may leave you tired or put your long term health (e.g. your bone health) at risk
What will we do?
- Take a comprehensive look at your food intake. Our computerized dietary analysis programme allows us to compare your diet to the recommendations for each nutrient.
- Discuss any changes you wish to make, (making your diet healthier, reducing your fat intake, having more energy).
- Take into account your food preferences, medical and diet history, and lifestyle.
- If you wish a mini health check will be conducted. This will consist of your weight, BMI, body fat percentage and waist circumference being measured.
- Answer any questions you may have.
What will you go away with?
- Results from the dietary analysis conducted highlighting the areas of your diet which are already great and those which need some changes to be made.
- Your mini health check results. If improvements to any of these measurements are recommended then achievable targets will be agreed.
- Suggestions on how to improve your diet if necessary. This will include lots of practical ideas based on the foods you like with meal and snack ideas provided.
- Appropriate information sheets based on your individual needs.
- Follow up advice as you wish. Further appointments if necessary, phone /email support or simply our contact details in case you think of any other questions. See our clinics for more details or contact us to make an appointment.
